Sat/Sun October 6-7, 11am-4pm – Vintage Fair: a wide variety of retro items will be on sale, with entertainment, too! Adults £1, Children Free
Sun October 28, 11am-3pm – Wedding Fair: quality exhibitors will be here to assist your plans for the big day, including venue decorators, chauffeurs and photographers. Free entry
Tue November 6, 7pm – ‘Two Mothers of Distant Sons’: marking the start of a series of events to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War One, this play is a semi-biographical radio-style play highlighting the horrors and emotions of war against the backdrop of the Black Country and Ypres. Tickets: £7.50, concession £6.50 available from the House or on the door if some still available.
Sat November 10, 2pm – ‘The Lightwoods Military Hospital and Smethwick in the First World War’: talk by Mary Bodfish. Free admission, doors open 1.30pm so come early to grab a seat!
Sat 17 November, 2pm – ‘The Stranger at the Window’: book talk by author Guy McElveny about his Second World War novel set in Smethwick. Free admission, doors open 1.30pm
Sun November 25, 11am-4pm – Christmas Fair: a wide variety of traders will be here selling all sorts of gifts and decorations. Refreshments available. With one month to go before Christmas, start your shopping here! Adults £1, Children Free
Mon December 17, 7pm – ‘Another Christmas Carol’: Don’t Go Into The Cellar return with another festive performance, an alternative take on Dickensian Christmas. Ticket prices tbc.
